Study Visa waiting

Hi there

I applied for my student visa on March 20th for a course which starts on May 8th.

I looked onto the processing times and for UK applicants it said 2 weeks.

I have not heard anything from the CIC. Accept for an application confirmation that it was in process on March 21st. I am getting worried that my visa wont come on time ready for my May 8th start date.

I am already in Canada on an IEC. I have paid for my course fees. I am just getting a little anxious that I am not going to get it on time.

Hi, my wife has been waiting since February 13th still no reply. We are in the UK so same time frame. We sent an email about the long wait two weeks ago and still no reply. Its just a waiting game.

I applied online on March 20th and it told me that it wasn't a long processing time but I haven't heard anything since them accepting my application

I processed mine February 22nd. Still waiting also.. waiting game is killing me ! May 1st is my start date.

I applied on paper through VAC on March 27th, they told me it is faster. 2 days ago I got the request to do Medical exams. Stay positive, you may have an answer pretty soon!

Really?! I would have thought it would be faster online! Do you think I should process a paper one also or do you think it's too late now? As my course starts May 8th. I don't have to do medical exams for my college course apparently plus I'm already in canada

I would say just wait, I read there are updates for those that applied on March.

When I applied for my visa it said a 2 week processing time. It now says 5 weeks. So I hope they stick to what they said upon the date of my application there abouts anyway!

I think it changes every week. And in April it starts the busy season for visa officers. Stay strong anyway

When I applied from my home country, they told me that the visa processing time is 6 weeks but I got my visa in almost 4 months. You would see alot of students get visa sooner or some a lil bit later. Just be patient and you will get it eventually.
