Unfortunately, I have just received a rejection letter. One reason is completely wrong:
Pursuant to Section 219 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, I am not satisfied that you:
have submitted written documentation from the educational institution at which you intend to study
that states that you have been accepted to study there
– I sent them what the college gave me – which I can’t find anything wrong with. This is Camosun College who have been accepted internationals for a very long time so they know what they are doing.

Here is the other which I don’t understand:
You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this
decision, I considered several factors, including: your personal assets and financial status.
– Do they think we will try to stay because my husband and 2 children are already in Canada on study visas? I can show ties to home with proof that I own a business and home.

Thanks for your help and input.

What's the letter that you sent from Camosun?

Also - since your family is in Canada, it's fairly easy to assume that you will want to stay with them as well (even after your studies) - any chance you can prove that they WILL go back to your home country? if so, that would be a better proof than having a business and home because you can sell them and just transfer the money to Canada.

Thanks for your reply. It is my letter of acceptance from Camosun. My husband received the same one for last September and there wasn't a problem.

My husband and 2 children all have study visas. How does one prove that they will go back home, or that I will go back?

Thanks again.

If your husband is already there why are you not trying for a SOWP?

I assume your kids are minors. The fact that your entire family (as far as CIC is concerned your spouse and children are your closest family) are already in Canada. It would be hard to convince them that any of you would be returning once the studies are completed.

Hi! Just a quick question, did you get a medical exam request from cic before they emailed that you were denied?
