• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as required by paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR. I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:

• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

• Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of: your qualifications, previous studies, mark sheets, academic record, level of establishment and/or your future prospects and plans.

My Profile :

Order GCMS notes. Why do you need to study in Canada to take a diploma at a private college in an office building? And why that program? What job opportunities with salaries are available to you to justify the costs? Assume minimum wage jobs in your home country. Why not a public DLI?

What are your IELTS marks?

My intake is Jan and GCMS notes takes around 3 months.
I intend to return to my home country and work as a mental health counsellor at the National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre, which is part of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. I find there are ample of scope for me to utilize my learnings for wellbeing of Indian citizens. I also found that organizations across domain, be it MNC’s, public sector or even NGO’s, are considering deploying mental health experts for their employees/workers and increase their overall efficiency. It is evident from the recent mass hiring of “Specialist Counselors” at one of the IT giants Infosys, where they introduced various support measures post the pandemic to strengthen their narrative; Support and Mental Care. Following to this many corporates have followed such initiation and integrated separate wellness department into their operations. This uptrend itself is a great opportunity for me to establish my career as “Mental Health Counselor” in India.
IELTS overall score of 6.5 (L: 6.5, R: 6.5, W: 7.0, S: 5.5).

You aren't making January intake with processing of 12-14 weeks so order notes. The issue is you need to justify costs of the program with salary. With your examples of jobs assume that requirements are a degree not a 2 year diploma so consider a social work program. In the meantime, improve IELTS. 5.5 is low.

Can i explain that after completing the program I would study a degree program in India and then explain the job opportunities. The thing is that this similar course is not available in India and all the related courses don't teach this specific concept in detail. India is already in dearth of mental health counselors. Please help me with how can i support my statement.

Sit down with a career counsellor or a mentor and firstly decide what you want to pursue and how it will benefit you when you come back to your country. A bachelors degree makes sense as opposed to a diploma after 12th. Consider that. Look into public DLI’s rather than private DLI’s. IELTS needs to be worked on. SDS = 6 each minimum. The more, the better.

Doing a diploma and then coming back to your home country to do a degree is not feasible. Any person who is looking for your good, will tell you the same.

No. That makes no sense to come to Canada for diploma and then go back to India for degree. And you say there are not similar courses. Study the degree program first then look at post grad programs. Consider Social Work.
