Hi everyone,
I studied in General Business (GBS) program in Canada for 2.5 years. I was a regular student, just took 1 summer semester off in those 2.5 years. It was a 2 year program but i took fewer subjects and i also got few D grades. My study permit was expiring on Jan 31 2014. I had only 1 semester left and the college was saying that they will give me the letter, only if i pay them the fees. I was gonna apply for renewal before 1 week left but i had an accident. I got a deep cut on the base of my foot from a broken glass and got 14 stitches due to that. Doctors told me to rest for at least a month because the cut was really deep. In the meantime, between all that stress, I forgot about the permit extension. It was totally unintentional.

It took more than 2 months for that cut to heal. I did got doctor's note describing about all the details and condition but I was not able to do much in those 2 weeks left in 90 days restoration period because I did not had the money to pay my fees and get the letter of from college. Somehow, I did managed about half of the fees and requested my college for the letter and they did give me the letter but I was too late because it had already passed 90 days.

After that, I contacted the lawyer and he told me that we can still try. So, he applied through a paper file to CIC Alberta. I got the rejection around after 2 months stating that it had already passed the 90 day restoration period. So finally, I came back to India within 1 week of reply from CIC on August 14, 2014.
However, I applied again, stating about the accident in my cover letter, with the doctor' note and all other documents but this time they rejected my application stating the following reasons:
1) I have not submitted written documentation from the educational institution at which you intend to study that states that you have been accepted to study there.
2) Other reasons:
Proposed program is not reasonable in light of past studies.

Now, I don't understand this because I did submit the letter of study permit extension from college.
Also, Can anyone tell me what they are trying to say from reason no.2?
Guys, I really need some advise about this. I am really worried because I do want to complete my study.
I would like to know what can I do next and what are the best suggestions to re apply. I will really appreciate if someone can help me.

Kindly,
Vishal

i dnt know of any solution or any advice in your situation. i think you should contact some good lawyer or visa consultant in India and ask them because mpst of the people here are not professionals. I wish you good luck. May your problem be solved soon.

When you applied for an extension, did you include a letter explaining why you dropped out of school for a semester? Did you also include letters from your doctor and hospital records to prove your injury?

FYI - the lawyer who told you to apply even though the 90 day restoration period had passed gave you extremely bad advice. There was no chance of approval since the 90 day restoration period had passed.

Hi Scylla,
yes, i did included proper doctor's note with medical record about the injury but I did not included the reason for taking one semester off because it was a summer session and normally students do take that semester off.
But my concern is I did added letter from college, but they replied i haven't attached letter from my college. furthermore, do you know what do they from reason 2???
Also, u r right, that lawyer really gave me a bad advice, now i know, he was all about money :(
Also does anyone know, what do they mean by that "Proposed program is not reasonable in light of past studies" ????

Order your CAPS notes to know the exact reason for your rejection.
