I had to defer my course to Fall term due to visa delay and my study visa got approved with letter of acceptance for 'Summer' term. Do I need to update immigration with my new letter of acceptance? If yes, how to send that info? Or is it fine to travel and update immigration after reaching there?

Yes, you have to inform the embassy prior to your travel.
Try to send an email across to the concerned embassy where your file was submitted with new LOA attached !!
And yes, don’t forget to mention your student application number in the subject line in order to get the speedy revert !!
