I applied to Humber University and after being waitlisted was accepted to study practical nursing. After paying the tuition in full and submitting my application for a study permit visa on june 28, 2011, my application was denied on the grounds that i did not satisfy the officer that i will leave Canada at the end of my stay. The reason cited was "family ties in Canada and in your country of residence, your current employment status, and your personal assets and financial status". I have family in Jamaica and Canada, i am married, sold my car but still have my land. Is there anything that i can do? Also school begins on September 5, 2011.
