Hello. I applied for my study permit to Canada to attend UBC. Unfortunately, I was to resume school today but have not gotten my introduction letter. I applied from Lagos, Nigeria on June 15th so that's about 10 weeks ago. Is there any advice on what I can do to hasten the process as I have been given a September 6th deadline to resume school or take a gap year and I just concluded a gap year

Hi

There is nothing you can do to to speed up the process. The processing time is 10 weeks plus mailing, so if you were supposed to start school today, you should have applied weeks earlier.

Thank you for your response. I wish I could have applied earlier but I went to school in Singapore, and returned to Lagos on the 23rd of May. Added to that, my passport was to expire August 2018 so I immediately started the process to renew once I got back as there was no way to do it in Singapore. And Nigerian passport services is unreliable and didn't release my new passport until the 12th of June. The odds were really not in my favour. And so, I am asking for potential solutions or advise.

That's unfortunate. There are no solutions. You just need to wait and see if it is processed in time.
