Study Permit Without Going To School

Hello,

I'm taking 2 years program at a college now.

I have a study permit and coop work permit that expires by March 2021 and applied for both a week ago.

I have a problem with my placement so that I cannot take the last semester in Winter 2021.

I'm going to drop the placement or defer the semester to Fall 2021 since there's no program in Summer 2021.

If I defer the semester, what is the max. days that I can stay in Canada?

Some people say 90 days while others say 150 days so I'm confused.

I would be appreciated the advice.
