Hello guys, I just wanted to ask if paying the tuition fee in advance is necessary? or we can just show the visa officer the sponsorship letters along with bank statements?

who told you that you need to pay in advance as opposed to showing that you have an acceptance letter and proof of funds that you can pay the first year plus living costs ?

I've read in some of the threads that it's a good practice to pay the tuition and GIC in advance so I'm just a lil worried that only showing the sponsor letters (from my father and my uncle who is a Canadian citizen) and bank statements along with my application would be enough?

Are you from India or China as GIC is for citizens of these countries only. AFAIK In spp GIC is required. As to fee I guess you need to show one semester fees. Cheers

Thank you Gymguy for the reply. I'm from Pakistan and I've been offered admission for masters in Electrical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick. My sponsorship letters and bank statements indicate that I've enough funds to sponsor my entire studies at UNB. I hope I'll be fine :) Just hoping for a decision as I've already submitted my complete application with upfront medical.

I guess you should be fine then. Good Luck. Cheers
