Hi,

I am a visitor in Canada currently. I used to be a student at Uoft from 2009-2013. Then I took a gap year due to some health iusses. I came back to Canada using a visitor visa earlier this year. I plan on finishing my last semester in school starting september. I therefore need a study permit. I applied to the Canadian consulate of LA via mail for my permit (because thats what CIC agents had told me). The Canadian consulate in LA had to cancel my application because I am from a country who requires bio-metric (Bangladesh). They asked me to apply online. From what I understand, I cannot give bio-metric within Canada. I do have a US visa and plan on going there to give it. But should I apply online first and then go give my Biometric in the US? Do I provide an US address?

If anyone can help out. It will be very helpful

Thanks!!

If you are already in Canada, and you are eligible to apply for a visitor, study or work permit within Canada (online or at one of their offices), you don't need to give your biometrics.
