Hi there,
Although my question is simple i couldnt find a clear answer so far:
Can i apply for a Study Permit if atending a Trade Course (over 6weeks long).?
I dont mean a College or University, say it is only a qualifying Course. (eg. Masonry Course ; Truck driving school or Carpentery)

I am really struggling to find a legal and viable way to immigrate to Canada without a job offer from abroad... Its almost impossible for what i've seen.

Thank you in advance.
Best regards.

If the course is more than six months, then you apply for a study permit.

If the course is six months or less, then you appy for a visitor visa.

Thank you scylla for the fast reply,
But i was under the impression that a visitor wasnt allowed to do anithing.
Assuming id take a less then 6month course. Could i then stay and find a related job?

And if the course is more then 6month, how does it work in order to take it and get a job ?

Visitors can study if the duration of the course / program is six months or less.

If you want to stay and work in Canada after you have completed your course, then you will first need to find an employer. That employer will then need to obtain an approved Labour Market Opinion and prove no Canadian could be hired for the role. Once you have these two things, you can then apply for a work permit.

Someone told me that looking for work while visiting was illegal. Is it?
Said that if i was staying with them visiting and looked for work, not only was it illegal but they would also loose their permit for helping me.
Because if it is so, it makes it a lot harder to do something.

No - none of this is true.

So, just to be clear:
I can visit Canada for 6month and in that time i can take a short term course and look for a job. In that time if i get an employer willing to get a positive LMO, i then can apply for temp work permit or even PNP for perm residence?

Is it possible?
What do i need to do so?

Thank you so mutch for taking the time to help.

Yes - you can take a short course and you can certainly look for work.

You cannot apply for a temporary work permit until your employer actually has an approved LMO (finding an employer who is willing to obtain an approved LMO isn't enough).

Whether you can apply for PNP will depend on which province, what kind of job you get, etc. You'll have to research the PNP rules to find out what it takes to qualify to apply.

You can find all of the forms on the CIC web site:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp

Is there anywhere where i can read i can do that as a visitor? Ive looked everywhere.
A legit site stating what i cant and can do as a visitor?

Sorry - I'm not aware of one.

And nowhere or no one i can contact to clarify and be certain it is legal?
At least somewhere where it says what a visitor cannot do?

Something to show that is not illegal in order for them to be sure they could help me?

Try searching the CIC web site. There's probabaly something there.
