Hello everyone,

So this is my situation. I am currently taking summer classes to fill up the remaining requirements needed for me to graduate (summer classes should end at the end of August). My study permit will expire at the end of September but my graduation day is on the last week of October. So right now I'm gathering documents to renew my study permit for a couple more months.

However, in the form the options are more catered towards applicants who are applying for a study permit to attend a learning institution (duration of expected study, funds for expenses and study, etc.). I am afraid my request won't go through as the permit is for after I am done with classes and I need it to apply for PGWP, which I will not be able to do til my transcript/ letter of confirmation are released and I am not sure if they will be released on time. Chances are they might be released near the end of September and that is not enough time for me and I'm not sure I can apply for a PGWP with a study permit so close to expiration (correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm just wondering if there are other options that I have overlooked because I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing. Any help at all would be appreciated. And if there was some confusion above I am glad to clarify.

You may apply for PGWP within 90 days after graduation (after the end of August), thus till the end of September.
You need to get an official transcript for your university which will be available as soon as the professor marks your final exam, thus by mid September the latest. Have you other papers ready by that time and apply on-line right away.

However, I do not know what you should do with your TVR if you do not get PGWP till the end of September.

Try to call CIC , write down the name and the number of the agent, ask him, and follow his advice.
