Does anyone know when study permits actually start? Do they usually come info effect the first day that school starts or beforehand? My boyfriend will (hopefully) be attending school this fall in Northern BC; however, he needs to move his schooling stuff and get settled in there first before classes begin. What is the best way to go about this?
In addition to this situation of getting settled there, he is hoping to drive across BC right before him and me go on vacation to Europe for a month. Once we return, he would be helping me, with his truck, move to another school more south than his school in Northern BC (because I only have a small car and because it may be pricy to rent a UHaul). Will this be a problem if he tells border security about this? If he intends to study in the North (with a future study permit), he will have to quit his current job in the US so will have less ties to demonstrate to the US.
