hey, my study permit got expired on the 21st of august, 2013. I was advised to seek a lawyer to fasten my restoration. He applied for my restoration on nov 1st. They sent him a letter stating that my case has been forwarded to the restoration office and that was it. It's been over 3 months and I still haven't heard anything from immigration. I'm getting really nervous cause i'm currently enrolled for this winter semester but i've been advised not to attend classes. Is there anyone who's facing or has faced a similar situation ? If so how long did the processing time take. I can't take this anymore, i'm getting frustrated. :( Thanks.

Why aren't you talking to your lawyer? You are paying him to represent you and any information from CIC would go the lawyer as the designated representative.

he hasn't told me anything yet. the last time i spoke to him which was a week ago, he said the visa is being processed and its been over 3 months.

I dont know about then but now if you go to their website it says that it take 10 days for online renewal of study permit.
