Hello,

Please suggest to me how to write a "Written Explanation from your financial supporter as to the source of funds" and "written declaration by your financial supporter declaring their intend to support you during your studies" that I am showing in financial plan. A sample letter is highly appreciated. Also who needs to write a letter of explanation (LOE)? Is an LOE only to help any application or is it only for specific reasons?

if you are receiving money from from your parents then you will need letter from them ( their job / source of income / why they will sponsor you / and what they will sponsor / how much they will sponsor / your relationship with them ) this letter should be certified and legalized with other documents such as bank statement / attestation of account balance / id / signature . this so the VO knows that everything you submit is real and your sponsorship is not just words but actually sworn and certified by your country. or you can just tell your parents to give u money in your bank account if you are young and case closed.

letter of explanation is essential. you will address your study plan / motivations / your background / your future prospects and other things like travel history / funds / grades / awards .. / work experience. and the letter should be attached with the documents so you can support your claims.
 
Provide as many of these documents as you can from your parents or sponsor:

  • bank statements for the past four months
  • a bank draft in convertible currency
  • pay stubs
  • an employment letter
  • proof of assets or business
  • tax reports, declarations or statement
  • a letter from the person or institution providing you with money
  • Financial Funds :
    If you are a minor :
    1. Salary certificate of parent(s).
    2. Bank statement of the last 4 months showing the amount : first year tuition + $10000
    3. Affidavit : letter of financial support from parent(s)
    4.Any house deeds or business owned
    5. If someone paying other than parents , affidavit of financial support.
    If you are an adult:
    1. Bank statement of the last 4 months showing the amount : first year tuition + $10000
    2. any ownership: assets , bonds , cars, etc...

    SOP : statement of purpose or LOR : letter of explanation
    if there is any thing you have to support your application , information like why you chose Canada for studying or to explain the source of funds that were deposited into the account or specifying some ties to your home country to show that you will leave Canada after finishing studying.

mention both of them. mention what u would like to do after u leave canada. in my letter i mentioned that i wanted to establish myself back home then pursue master's degree in fine art since my art degree doesn't provide the requirements for MFA.
