Hi everyone! I am a law student at Mcgill, on a study permit. However, it fell out of my passport and although I have applied for a new one it has taken months to arrive and I'm still not sure about when it is going to come. I've been offered a job but need the original to get a SIN number and I am getting quite desperate.
Does anyone know if it would be possible to go to the land border by bus, spend a few hours in the US, and get a new study permit printed upon re-enter into Canada?
