Hey everybody,

I am an Indian living in Saudi Arabia. I studied my whole life in an American international school and I'm looking to continue my education in Concordia University, Montreal. I have gotten my acceptance and everything. All I need is the visa. I applied twice and got rejected both times. The first time I couldnt satisfy the visa officer that I would return to my home country or country of residence after my visa expires. The second time they had the same reason plus I didn't have enough funds and my passport was not acceptable. My passport is going to expire in 7 months so I'm going to renew it and then apply again. As for funds I showed my dad's bank accounts since he'll be sponsoring me and he had more than 30 thousand Canadian dollars worth of money and my tuition is only 16,500 dollars. I want to apply and get the visa because I am wasting valuable study time. I don't know what to do to prove to the visa officer I will return after my studies. The second time I applied I showed that my sister had studied in U.A.E. and graduated and returned and currently works here, and that my brother currently studies in London, England. I really need some help! I don't know what to do! Please somebody try and help me!

I can give u my sister's example may be it helps u. She got rejection due to doesn't have enough funding, i talked to so many students/immigration forum what i concluded that the student should have eough funding in his/her bank account, its ok ur father is funding u but u should have money in your bank account as well. Your first time rejection i didn't got it.

Hope it helps u.

I'm positive money is not the problem. On the other hand, my passport might be. I realized my passport was going to expire in August of this month. I read somewhere that you should make sure your passport is valid for your whole stay. Also I spoke with a few Canadians and they think that is most likely the issue. So I have renewed my passport and will try for the visa again. Hopefully this time around I will get it. Thanks for the help.

Hi guys,
I found this topic interesting.

I couldn't arrange funds for January intake. So I dint apply for visa. I am planning for summer intake. My total expense of both tuition and living is $35000. I got education loan of $8000. How can i show rest of the funds? If via bank statements then statements of how many months?

Thanks in advance...:)
