Dear,
My name is Abdul Qadeer I am from Pakistan. I am doing Ph.D. in China. I get admission in an exchange program at University of Guelph in Canada from 1 January 2020 to December. My research funding, medical insurance, and other living expenses will be paid from my current university professor from his research funding (letter was attached in my file). I will live in my sister's house in Kitchener ON, Canada. It is not necessary for me to pay any fees in University of Guelph. I also show my bank statement of more than 17000 Canadian dollars. I visited Canada 12/06/2018 to 2018/06/18 and 24/12/2018 to 17/01/2019. I had applied for a study permit for Canada, however, unfortunately, the study permit has been denied. Canadian Embassy denied the study permit on the following grounds. He stated 1) “I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
2) Given that your intended activities constitute work, you are not eligible for a study permit. In my application letter, I have mentioned this paragraph “
I have done my research work in China and wish to extend my research to North America. I want to get the comparison of initiatives taken by industry with respect to policies and practices of the North American region with policies and practices for green innovation in China. I will collect, interpret and compare data from the North American industry.” Could be this be a reason for rejection? I would request your suggestions on how to proceed with it now?. Thank you for your time
