Hello,

I am from Turkey. I applied for a study permit and it was refused for the reasons of
#Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
#You have limited employment possibilities in your country of residence.
This happened in January 2023.
I reapplied and received a second refusal on October 2023 for the reasons of
#You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
#The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
#You have limited employment possibilities in your country of residence.

From January to October I found a new job and I am working. I increased my financial assets. My mom and my brother went to Canada as visitors but they got a work permit under TS2023(open work permit given due to the earthquake in Turkey).
My dad and my sister are in Turkey still.
Also, I am 19 can I am a dependant on my mom.

Any advice, I am so confused.

Thank you

You need to provide you full profile:

- What studies have you completed in your home country and what are you planning on studying in Canada (school and program)
- What is the work experience you have?
- How much did you show in proof of funds (bank savings) to support your studies and living expenses?

The fact your mother and brother are now in Canada on work permits weakens your profile and makes IRCC concerned you have plans on remaining in Canada long term.

What did GCMS notes say for first refusal? Apply for GCMS notes for second refusal. How is current program related to job or relevant to current job? What program? Are your father and sister trying to get to Canada too?

You most likely will continue to be refused because your mom and brother went to Canada and then applied for work permits. Best to wait until the policy is over to reapply, and even then if you are dependant on mom and she is in Canada then approval may be difficult.

Hi,

Thank you so much for the reply!
I finished high school in Turkey. After high school, I applied to come to Canada, but it was rejected due to not having enough financial assets.
After the rejection, I started to work at a supermarket, and I wanted to reapply to come to Canada, so I did not go to uni in Turkey. I want to study engineering in Canada. My father has a work permit, but he is not planning to come to Canada cause he has his own business in Turkey. My sister wants to do her master's in Canada. She has been in Canada before.

Why do you think I should wait until the policy is over?

Hi,

I checked what is GCMS notes are. I had no idea I could request them. How can I apply for it?

Thank you

Because your mother and brother came to Canada as visitors and then applied for a work permit, correct? IRCC may think you will do the same thing if you come before January. Your ties to Canada are very strong especially if father has a Canadian work permit too. What did you show for career opportu ities did you show after you complete your degree at university? How long is the program?

Your mom can order ATIP notes if she is your representative from within Canada. Google - order ATIP

What are you planning on studying in Canada and at which school? Your profile is going to be weak given your family ties to Canada so your choice of school and programs is going to be important.

Was your home located in the region affected by the earthquake? Is your mother currently working in Canada? When did they go to Canada and when did they receive their WPs? You and your sister will struggle applying for study permits based on having strong ties to Canada as well as finances. Working ant a supermarket wouldn’t allow you to save 30k+. Also doesn’t help that it appears as though your mother and brother got TRVs based on misrepresentation and then applied for WP when they got to Canada. How old is your sister? Are your parents still in a relationship if she went to Canada and your father has no plans to move to Canada?
