Hello everyone,
I really need some advice, I hope someone can help me with this.

Friday I received a message from CIC confirming that the SP was mailed. The problem, and it's a huge one, is that the address written under my name is wrong. They are mailing it to my former address.

When I applied I was looking for a new place to live but had no idea where so I used my address at that time as both mailing and residence. Realizing that was a stupid idea I rented a PO box and updated my mailing address using the Case Specific Enquiry form just 3 days after I applied. Most recently when I moved I updated my residence address too. How did this happen? Do they even check this forms? But most important, what can I do now?

I called CIC but couldn't speak with an agent. There's no security or concierge at my former address and I can't wait there for the postman to show. If the SP return to sender will they cancel my SP or contact me? My SP is expiring in late January so now I'm terrified that I'll have to leave Canada instead of starting a new term!

I appreciate any help.

1. Not a big deal. Update address with case specific inquiry. You will get a new mail.

Hello J5M,

I don't think you understood my situation. I already did that and didn't work! That's why they are mailing it to the wrong address. Any other suggestion?
