Guys I have a major doubt! Will it be possible for me to apply for the study permit from my home country, India since the processing times are only 3 weeks instead of applying from Nigeria which has 8 weeks processing times? My parents are legal residents of Nigeria, however, I am under 18 so I would be considered a dependant child, hence, a resident from India. But, will it cause any delay or something??
Please reply asap I'll be applying for it as soon as I land in India around mid May and expecting a visa by early June.

Hi, I am not exactly sure how will that effect you , but Yes it does have some effect of your connections to other countries as I am facing right now, My parents are residing in KSA , and I stay in India , I too had a legal resident doc of KSA , but I used to stay in India mostly, so its been 2 months 13 days since I have submitted my visa application in SDS online which is being said as 3 weeks, I came to know from some of the forum members that due to heavy volume of applications and coronavirus its getting delayed, in the same place one of my freind got his visa within 3 weeks and that too in general , so you cannot be sure , things can't go as expected or as shown on their site, Apply from wherever you are comfortable and see that you do not miss a single document , approach a good visa agent and see that you follow the proper procedure, most importantly do not rely on them completely you should be the person finalising each step , All the very best...!

Thank You for such an elaborated reply, I was considering applying through general so lets see. It's just that the rejection rates in Nigeria are 81% so I'm trying to take as minimum risk as possible by applying from India. If not through SDS, I might apply general. Also, hope u get ur visa as soon as possible.
