I am a Research Scholar, recently I received a funding award for which I planned a 4 months visit.
The host University asked me to apply for study permit, while Canada Immigration grants Visitor Visa only when the visit is less than 6 months.
Study permit is necessary for me for obtain Social Insurance Number (SIN), which is required to receive the funds. What can be done in such cases?
