Study permit extention

I have query about study permit extention ....can any one help me

Actually i applied my study permit extention on 16th april and i didn't get any update till now andi verified from MP and got that it ll take 9 months...and i also got message in my cic account that my file has been transferred from Edmanton to Etobicoke for further processing...can anyone suggest me ....

9 months seems extremely long. Normally it is half that time.
