My dilemma starts ...my study permit expired on July 24, 2015 but I applied two days before it expired so I was still right in the legal terms to do that...114 days now and I'm still waiting for an update, I have seen people wait longer than this so, I'm chilled too. I have even had cops stop me, ask for my ID (passport) check my study permit, see it's expired and call CIC to confirm if I'm not residing legally and they always (well, thrice now) gave me back my passport and let me go.
But somehow I misplaced my passport with the expired study permit in it. I can get my passport replaced easily but now I don't even have proof of an expired study permit, how do I go about it. Basically right now, I have no form of ID in Canada. I don't think I can ask for a replacement of an expired study permit. Help
