Study permit extension-Reg

Hi Everyone,

Need your input for the below situation.

I have an admit for an 1 year MBA program, which will start in September 2019.I have also applied for few universities for Jan 2020 intake 2 year MBA program, whose decision is not released.

So if I applied for the visa with my 2019 MBA offer letter and got my visa approved and then I also received the admit for Jan 2020 2 year MBA program intake, Should I cancel my approved visa and reapply or can I just extend my study permit duration?

Any help on this is much appreciated.
