Study Permit delayed when classes already started Fall 2020

Hello!
I applied for my study permit on July 27th within Canada under the prerequisite course (Pathway at ILAC) where I got my TOEFL Certificate.
However, I haven't got any update from Immigration whether it is rejected or approved. My classes already started at Seneca College, and it's supposed that I'm allowed to study as long as I have uploaded my application before Septemeber 14th. But my question is that if it's possible to remain in Canada while I wait for it? Or also, what happens if defer my studies to January? Can I stay in Canada under the implied status? Do I have to option to apply for an extension?
Or if any of you made a study permit application from Canada and you are almost in the same situation could you share your experience?

Applying for a study permit does not give you implied status. Your current status is based on your previous entry.

Hi, is it possible to apply for pgwp inside Canada and leave for India ? my trv is already expired, so incase my pgwp applied inside Canada gets approved, is it then possible to apply for a new trv in India ?
