Hello All,

I got my study permit approval letter in Nov 2019 and also the visa stamped in my Passport. My course was supposed to start in Feb 2020 at the U of Winnipeg. But, by the time I received the visa in Nov 2019, all the seats were closed for the course (university provided seats for students who submitted visa before me). So I have deferred the course to Aug 2020; but due to Covid-19 I again deferred the seat to Feb 2021 (I wish to join the in person class rather than online).

Now my question is, do I require the recently introduced AIP in order to enter in Canada and attend the class in Feb 2021?

My visa/study permit approval letter is valid till August 2021.

Thank in Advance!

The temporary two-stage approval process already ended a few days ago. You can normally just apply for study permit extension and give them the reasons you stated in this topic.
