Study Permit Applied Online WITHIN Canada

Hello, a friend of mine who holds a Ukrainian passport has applied for a Study Permit online back in May this year. She has not heard anything nor gotten any updates from My CIC except that her application has been received on May 12.

It's been almost 3 months and when she called cic all they told her was that it's being process.

She's here on a workers visa, participating in a one-year volunteer program.

Anyone applied online within Canada can share their timelines? Thoughts/suggestions on what we can do?

Can anyone who has gone through the process of applying for a student visa while on a visitor's visa in Canada assist me with the process of applying online or by mail to the LA-VAC?
