Study Permit Application Help!

I just got accepted to Sheridan College in Toronto, I came into Canada under my German passport, therefore I didn't need a visa. I was never stamped a date to come back so I'm guessing I was allowed the full 6 month period. I came in October, so I still have about 3 months left. My question is, is it possible for me to apply for my student visa while in Canada? Since I think I do have the Temporary Resident Visa.. Or something like that? I'm a little confused.

Since you are a German citizen - You are Visa exempt - hence you will not need to apply for a TRV but for a Study permit.

A study permit - allows you to stay in canada for more than 6 months and study.

TRV - Allows you to enter Canada - Not required in your case.

In short - just apply for study permit.

Can I be in Canada while I apply for my study permit? Or do I need to leave the country?

No, you still have to apply your study permit from outside Canada
