Hello everyone. Sorry if this is not the right thread, but honestly, I don't know where I fit.
I'm an international PhD student in Canada, I'm on my 13th month of studies, and I feel like this isn't for me, and now that my career goals are more explicit, I know I do not need a PhD to pursue them. Therefore, I created a poll for IEC. Maybe I'm lucky.
My husband came with me to Canada on an open work permit because of my student permit. If I get invited, apply, and activate a work permit, will my husband need to stop working, or will his work permit be valid until the date stated in the document even if I decide to stop studying?
Do I need to "surrender" (?) my study permit if I get invited, apply, get a POE and decide to activate my work permit?
Do I need to change my status to visitor before exiting the country to activate my work permit when entering again?
If I decide, after the WH program, I want to resume my studies, is it possible if I maintain an authorized leave in my university?
TIA
