Study permit and family

Hello Everyone. Pls I need any guidance I can get!

I applied for study permit in October to a College in Ontario. Paid the 1st year fees in full. I was refused on 5 grounds all of which pointed to my status in SA although I am not sure that got across right to the visa officer as I am a Permanent resident of SA.

I however immediately reapplied attaching docs of my status and those of my kids. My hubby is not going with us and I plan to go with 3 of my kids, 2 of whom are American citizens.
It's over 7wks since my application and i have deferred my January admission to September 2020. I don't know what il do if it is refused again.

Please any words on the hope of the second application succeeding? And/or any suggestion on what i can do if not successful this time around.

It's hard to say without knowing all of the details of the application and how much you showed in proof of funds.

How old are your children?

What do you plan on studying in Canada and what is your previous education and work experience?

My kids are 11yrs , 8yrs and 4yrs old.

Previous study is Law and Psychology.

I included in the second application all our South African Permanent resident certificates, our title deed to a property in our home country and ownership of house document in SA. My offer/Acceptance letter from the College with work letter (as the course requires practicum) to study Social works and receipts of fees paid, a job /reference letter from a potential employer, my 10yrs work history - 2 being in SA, my hubby's account statement as he is my sponsor, an LOE stating all the potential job opportunities the course has to offer in both private and public (government) sectors; I and my hubby's long term goal of running our own private clinic (hubby is a medical doctor)that would offer both medical, social and psychological services. Our account after payment of fees showed about $40,000CD. Also indicated that my hubby currently has his own private surgery that he co-owns with a friend.

Reasons for refusal were:
1.) Purpose of visit
2.) Immigration status at country of residence
3.) Limited employment prospects in country of residence
4.)current employment situation
5.) Personal assets and financial status.

Like I noted, I submitted on October 15th , got the refusal on December 3

Got the refusal reply on December 3rd and reapplied on December 4th attaching all the stated information.

What is your home country? Where is your husband’s practice and have you been living in the US since 2 of your children are citizens? Where did your husband go to medical school and train? Given your degrees in law and psychology a degree from a college may not make sense. Social work is a masters degree so what degree are you applying for. 40k will not go far in Canada if you have 3 children and are studying full-time. You will also have to pay for childcare after school and perhaps before school and during summer. Is there not a similar program closer to where your husband is living working? Are you currently working? If not, when was the last time you worked full-time?

Assume you want to immigrate. Even if your husband is SA trained and licensed he still may not be able to find employment as a doctor. Some specialists in Canada graduate and can’t find any job opportunities because there are too many graduates in some specialties and not enough in some others. Budgets are another reason.

My hubby is not going. He is licensed here in SA and has been for over 8yrs, working with the hpcsa.

I worked full time in 2014 and had my baby in 2015. Started an under-studying job with a surgery as a therapist in Pretoria in 2016 until early 2019.

My home country is Nigeria. And psychology is interconnected with social works . Although it's a different line of it and I want to be grounded in that line as well.

Both cases where I had my kids in the US were coincidental, one being my graduation ceremony from the psychology course. I attended - ceremony was in January and I delivered on December 30th. Second was a wedding ceremony on the very month I delivered.

As for funds the reason wasn't insufficient funds so I doubt that is an issue. They simply indicated financial status whc read to mean my own personal funds apart from my hubby but in my LOE I indicated its irrelevancy considering my hubby is sponsoring and we are one.
