study permit and cec application

Hello,
Am planning to apply for cec by september 2013.Also i got admission for a distance learning program which require study permit, since the course duration is more than six months and credited program.I will complete 12 month experience by end of august and course start by september.Also, i will be continuing my full time job during the distance learning.Do anybody know whether this study program will affect my PR application?Please advise.thanks in advance.

I am also doing CGA which means I have both Post graduate work permit and Study permit.

I called CIC and they said it is fine and wont create any problems with PR application process.

However, I am still not fully convinced lol

Is there anyone here who got his/her PR while having a study permit at the same time?

Remember, this is not a regular study permit needed to attend college or universities. This is a different study permit only for online or distance learning courses.

I don't if some get PR or not,
but there is a thread in which that person got Rejected because he was just holding Study permit while working on PGWP , he was not studying at all though.

Well I don't think you are suppose to submit
Study permit after graduating it expires on its own.can you give me link of that person because most of my friends started working while waiting for PGWP and they completely
Forget about their study permit .
All of them got PR but under PNP

When I graduated from college my study permit got expired and I got my post graduate work permit after 2-3 months. Then I got a full time job as well. After that I enrolled in CGA program. Do you guys know about CGA? Its not a regular college or university course. Its an online distance learning course and each semester is 3 months in duration. Now for that I had to apply for study permit and I got a study permit even though I was working full time using post graduate work permit.

Currently, 1 year and 8 months have passed and I have both study permit (expires in 2016) and Post graduate work permit (expires in 2015). I will be applying for my Canadian Experience Class immigration soon.

I called CIC like 3 times and confirmed with them and they said again and again study permit will not create any problems with your CEC application.

Can you work while on a study permit? I don't think so. You can only work if you are employed by your educational institute.

FOR CEC:

Comment 1: Any work exp will be counted only after u finish school. Once you finish school and waiting for PGWP your work exp will be counted under CEC

Comment 2: After finishing your school you can only work if you have offcampus work permit while waiting for PGWP/

comment 3: if you Didnt finish your school and working off campus full time (can do only in summer under study permit) then that experience wont be counted in CEC..

I wasn't talking about CED eligibility. I think you cannot work while on study permit. as well as you cannot study while on work permit.

You can work in summer full time 40 hrs (MAY-AUGUST) on off campus work permit while having study permit and 20 hrs usually. You cant study on work permit but can take certifications like cfa,cga etc..

So in other words.......I can take CGA courses while on post graduate work permit and apply for CEC without any problem right?

if you are not classified as a full-time student, there should be no problem with doing an online program while working full-time...
