You might want to write a strong SOP and describe the reason of gap (job, medical reason, family etc),

Yes, definitely. It's the only document that describes your intentions.

Not long, just 1-2 pages are good.

I had a gap of one year, however, I explained my reasons for the gap in my SOP. If you do that too than you should not have a problem.

Hi Jyoti,

Few months back there was a seminar conducted by CHC, New Delhi. In that seminar, the Visa Officers gave a presentation about study visa.

They told us that they recommend a small 1-2 page long note in which we can add out intention or explains anything (like a gap etc).

SOP is not mandatory, but may add a positive factor to your application. We can only suggest, you have to decide if you want to include it in your application or not.

They mean not to include worthless documents such as stock certificates, residential value assesment, charter accountant statement etc..SOP is a part of your application and to be honest it is a very vital part as well...
