Hello,

I am a B.E (electronics and telecommunication) did my graduation long ago,in 2002.Have been working since 2005,and have a total exp of around 13 yrs in Telecom.

I am 37yrs, married.My query is:

1.I intend to go on a study visa, ofcourse with the final goal to attain the PR.With the study gap of more than 10yrs,what are my chances of getting a study permit + visa.

2.If I get thru for September 2018 intake, assuming it's a one year program, and I get years work permit.By the time I finish my studies along with the one year work permit,I will be 39, what will be my chances for a PR then?

3.What is a better option,an MBA or a one year certificate program? Can some one suggest the best institutions where I can apply for both?I am fine to appear for GRE and ielts.

I will really appreciate anyone to help me on this.

Thank you

Generally speaking it's very difficult to get a full year of Canadian work experience (required to qualify for PR under CEC) with just a one year PGWP. You would be better off taking at least a 2 year program so that you can qualify for a three year PGWP. Masters would be better than a certificate program.

Keep in mind that you are also going to lose points the older you get. For example, you'll lose 10 points between 37 and 39 - and 15 points between 37 and 40 years old.
