Hi good evening friends, my wife planning to higher studies in Canada, We spoke one consultant, they said based on her qualification there is two year course are there, Algoma University, Brampton. They said there is possibility for Part time job , Also they offer work permit for me also for two year. After that we can apply for PR. Is it true that we can get PR after two years ?

There's no guarantee of PR. It's possible but certainly not guaranteed.

Not really the first school I would consider. Also some of their courses are at their northern Ontario campus which is the original location. Spouses of international students are also not guaranteed a visa/permit to accompany their spouse. Some get approved but some don’t.

When you say they offered you a 2 year work permit you should be aware that if they are offering jobs for a fee that is illegal. If you study full-time at an authorized college/university you will be entitled to a 1-3 year work permit after the completion of you studies.

Hi @canuck78 , thanks for your guidance. Why do you feel Algoma Brampton is not a first choice. My sister has low GPA (51%) in engineering, 5 years of work ex, and got an admit to Algoma Brampton.

Do you guys think she has a chance of getting visa? I see a lot of rejects from Algoma Brampton here in the forum as compared to other colleges. So just curious what the opinion is out there..
