Student visa with spouse

Hello everybody,
I am thinking about applying fir student visa. But some of my friends saud that canada don't accept students having study gap more than 5 years. Is it true?
Another thing i also heard that getting student visa with spouse us not possible. Please let me know these things.

5 years gap means u didnt do anything during that time? if u have worked which can be proved during that time then its not a gap

thats not right it may be difficult but not impossible. I have a spouse too and I completed my masters here in canada so it depends on ur file and profile
