Hi Guys ,

New to this forum. I would really appreciate sensible and honest opinions on my case.My profile is as follows :

10th ( CBSE ) with 78% Marks
12th ( CBSE ) with 65% Marks

* One Year Gap between 12th and Degree initiation because i was not able to clear my mathematics exam the first time *

B.Tech in Computer Science from PTU with 66.72% Marks in 2013

* I completed my degree in time *

( I completed my degree in time but had quite a few backlogs in between which I cleared by the end of my graduation , following which , the DMCs which I received from the university are not in a sequential order , Infact all of them are dated from the year 2012. )

In between my 12th and my degree i acquired a diploma course in mechanical CADD designing software.

After my graduation I worked for about 6 months in an IT Recruitment Firm as an IT Recruiter. I left the job in July 2014 to take up various competitive exams ( both in general and IT category ) for govt. departments.

Now I am yet to get my Ielts date because I am waiting for my passport to arrive. As soon as it comes , I will book the date.

I consulted from a Visa consultancy firm which told me that my case will not face any problems.

The other consultancy which I consulted from is telling me that the case will be rejected if I have more than 8 backlogs in my B.Tech , which is a new rule , But which does not yet apply to Sheridan and George Brown College , But applies to others......

My question is , if this is some sort of a new immigration rule , shouldn't it apply to all colleges ? Is the consultancy right about this or are they misguiding me to take up the colleges from which they might be getting the highest commission from ?

Awaiting Replies...........Thanks in Advance !!

I just applied for Humber and in their application package they have mentioned there should be no more than 8 backlogs for a post secondary degree program, they even asked for a backlog summary letter from my university. I provided them the summary letter and then my admiision got through, here's the link for academic eligibility.

Hope this helps.

You have not mentioned which course you are planning for in Canada
