student visa processing time ?

Visa application, tracking ID No.__________ is being processed at the Canada Visa Office, BANGALORE.To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website.

This is the message i get every time i check with the tracking number.
I have applied offline for student visa on 28th Feb 2017 at Mumbai VFS.
I took admission in St. Lawrence for May 2017 intake.
Can anyone please tell how many days does it take for visa and in how many days can I expect my passport ?

You can see if there are any tracking websites for student visa category where other students have posted their timelines.

It says 6 weeks. Does it really take that long ? My intake is of May !

Sad to know that. Its been 5 weeks for you. You didn't get a single update ?
Did you try talking to anyone on their helpline number ?

That is a very unfortunate case. I would suggest that you contact to the respective VAC.

Considering the mentioned time of 6 weeks for India I hope you get it by next week.
