Dear All,

This is my first time in this forum and it’s so amazing with lots of info!

I am have been working in Canada with work permit and have applied for PR last year under PNP, and had my medical done in July 2014. My girlfriend lives outside Canada and we’re planning to get married in February 2015. She is planning to come for graduate schooling to catch 2015 fall session as well.
Now I don’t know, what would be the best and fastest way for her to come over here? If I happen to get a PR before the wedding, then her application to enter Canada as a spouse will take really long time I believe. But if she apply for a student visa and once she is here, apply for the PR as a spouse, that may take faster, should that be faster?
Problem is, I don’t know if she can do this or not? If I am a PR, does she have to enter Canada as a PR, or a student visa is possible? Can anyone help me out with precious suggestion please?

Thank you all.

Student visa or a trv (visit visa) will be granted entirely based on your the circumstances/stability of your girlfriend. if she is able to get it nothing like that. But some important tips/points to remember/consider are:-
1) as you are planing to get married by next month i.e in February then you have to (a must thing todo) Add/include her in your own PR application. if you get married before your application gets completed you must inform cic and submit the related documents (i.e your wife's medical, copy of passport, related cic forms, fees etc)... in this case she will get her PR at the same time of yours. ( means you both will get PR at the same time). if you fail to inform cic and your application gets completed you may face serious problems and may not able to sponsor her in future. you cannot land in canada as a married if your PR app says you are a single. (serious problems can be like loosing your PR status, Ban to enter into canada as it will be considered as a misrepresentation which is a crime in canada).
2) if your girl friend enter into canada as visitor or student which ever way... and you had already include her in your current PR application which is in process she will still get her PR card with you. so you will not be going through another sponsor application process.
3) if you get PR first and after that you get married you will have to sponsor her ( inland or out land which ever you choose) both are long as compare to the above option (adding your spouse into current Pr application).

Hope it helps
