Student visa expires in month. what to do next

Hi all,

My student visa will expire end of this month and my study is also completed end of this month. I won't get my final marks for sometime (2 months) to apply for work visa.
Please suggest what to do next. Can I still live in Canada with expired student visa? How much time do I have to apply for work permit? Is it okay to live in Canada with expired student visa? Any help would be helpfully. Thanks in advance.

You cannot just stay on an expired study permit. Apply to change your status to visitor.

You have 180 days from the date of expiry on your study permit to apply for your PGWP.

Thanks for the response. Suppose my study permit is expired in Dec and I get my marksheet in Jan. Can i just apply for PGWPP at that time and Do I need to have validate status for me to apply for PGWP?

Yes, you need to apply to change your status to visitor before your study permit expires, and then apply for the PGWP. If you don't, there will be additional fees and paperwork you would have to complete to restore your status.
