Hi all, I am currently living in hong kong. My student visa has been denied twice. I have no secondary post education in hong kong, I just went straight to work after high school graduate. The problem is that my sister lives in canada with no status and is in the process getting a PR. I stated on the form that I will be living with my sister and she will support me with her savings. Is this the problem why my visa was rejected? At first many people told me if I didn't put that down on paper I would've had higher chances of me getting my student visa. What do you guys think?

The rejection reason would be mentioned and get your gcms notes to get more details of rejection.
How is she without status but getting a PR?

she has work permit and been working in canada and filed taxes but in the process of getting her PR. She has her own condo as well too. Not sure if the officer thinks i'm trying to abuse the system and thinking I won't return to hong kong or something? Financial is not a problem at all for supporting myself and tuition. I just don't understand why my application was rejected twice. I've asked some settlement workers they told me to give up and saying if I try too much they might even ban me from coming to canada as a tourist???

ask for GCMS Notes as this will give you clear idea about the rejection .
About your sister I don't think this will be a problem and I submitted a letter from my side for my cousin's visa that she will be living with me at my place and all her basic requirement will be taken care by me. her visa is already approved (india)

Its better to read the reasons on gcms and then re-apply. The rejection emails are generic, whereas the notes have the exact detailing why you are getting a rejection.

If your sister currently has no status in Canada, I don't think there's much chance you can get a study permit (or TRV) approved. I would wait until she is a PR and then apply again.
