Hello Everyone! I need all your help on my student visa application case.

I applied for a MEng Degree in Mining and Materials Engineering at McGill University for Winter 2014 term (I currently hold a BS degree in Materials Engineering). I'm just waiting for my admission letter that will be released in late September. The admission offer includes a stipend of about $16,500/year that I could use to pay for my tuition/living expenses. I also asked from my Aunt working in Canada if she could give me a letter of financial support citing that she will provide $1k per month to pay for my living allowance, this will be backed up by relevant financial documents like her certificate of employment (and maybe her properties) but she won't share her bank savings statement.

Would these documents be enough for a strong visa application regarding financial aspect?

Thank you all for your help.

I dont think these documents would be enough. You have to show valid bank accounts and statements to prove that you have money. It should be around 12,000 CAD per year depending on your University fees. I am not sure about the amount but yes you have to show bank statements and account.

A good rule of thumb is to show your first year fees + $10,000 at least. The more, the better.
