With all due respect you just listed two criminal offenses in your first post, so it's not a single stupid mistake. And how do you expect the victim whom you sexually offended to feel if the law does not mean and apply to you what it states. We fuck up, everyone of us does, but we gotta pay the price and the length of restitution is linked to the severity of the offense. I don't try to be an asshole, it's simply that always trying to do the right thing is tough and costs energy and effort. It would be unfair to the rest to do their best if others who take shortcuts in life were not required to fully sit out the timeout.
