So the advisor at Contestoga should know what to do so ask again. Contestoga has so many international students and telling your friend to ask an MP is poor advice. Your local MP cannot change your file but only call and ask status. And you can do that with a phone call to IRCC too. So call IRCC ASAP and ask why permit is flagged.
