I met a 30 year old Thai woman last year. She has finished a baccalaureate in accounting but is now working in a low salary position unrelated to accounting. She speaks english, albeit with some difficulty.
I live in Quebec and she is in Thailand, we would like to start a partner sponsorship, but we need to have lived together for a year to do so. With the high salary I make, marrying to have spousal sponsorship is not something I would want to do at this point, without first having lived together for a few years.
We have not yet applied for a tourist visa. The chances are low of her being granted one since she would have to quit her job to come here and has no valuable property in her name.
My question is, is there a way for her to come here for a year as a student with a study permit? She would love to learn french or another program, but is it likely she would be granted a Visa in her situation even if she'd be accepted in a school?
We are desperate for any input or suggestions in this matter.
