My boyfriend and I want to immigrate permanently to Canada in about two years. I've hatched this plan but I need an expert opinion of whether it's feasible. We qualify as common law spouses, so the plan is for him to apply to a college in BC, when he gets a study permit I believe we can apply for a work permit for me as his "wife." He'll be studying for two years while I'll be working, and during that time we want to apply for PR from within Canada. Is this possible?? Will we be able to stay in Canada on those temporary permits while applying for PR? Thanks for any help!

Yes and yes, but at the present time Skilled Workers apps are taking 19-43 months.
1. If He is eligble for student authorization and you are able to afford the international fees. $5600 per 4 month term at Capilano College. You will have to show that you have sufficient funds after paying the tution for living expenses prior to a student permit being issued.

2. I assume that you have looked at www.cic.gc.ca to see if that you would qualify for skilled worker.

Hi, My question is the following.

My husband is Canadian citizen, and I'm Hungarian. We have been married for 2 & 1/2 years, our wedding was in Canada, but 3 months after our wedding we moved to the U.S., because my husband has a job with a TN visa. We plan to move back to Canada at the end of 2015. Can we apply for PR for spouse outside of Canada? If I hand in the application in the U.S. through Canadian Embassy, and my papers are in process, but during this time we relocate in Canada, can I leave the country while my canadian status is not finalized?

Thanks ahead for the fast answer.
