Well here it is... Our application to the Mississauga CIC office was recieved Sept. 4 2012. I was approved to sponser my wife from Manila Oct 16/12... we are both the same age 51 and no children... then our application was forwarded to the CEM.. I know the max wait can be 11 months...all her meds and police clearence papers were also filed along with our orginal NSO wedding cert and her birth cert. and I payed the full amount to CIC....but still hear nothing from the CEM about receiving our app... can anyone tell me the average time they went through with the Canadian Embassy Manila thanks....

11 mos is waiting time in manila... We're the same date of approval and your lucky you only had a month of approval.. Try to read some other thread especially April-june for you to know the waiting time for ppr(passport request).you can only rely in ecas to check your status if they received your application.hope this will help.

im afraid it could be a whole lot longer if your case is denied. 20-25% are denied......you can then add on another few years.

Those aren't accurate statistics for Manila. Manila has around 93% approval rate. And we are in the same situation as you, except I sent our application in April and still have yet to hear from CEM.

I was talking in general terms. Yes, the sucess rate is higher in Manila. We love the Filipinos !!!!!!! Having said that, its important for people to know these statistics change a lot over time.

I really think it's important not to think of refusal until it happens. The last thing people who are waiting need are more negative thoughts!

I couldnt disagree more. People need to have accurate information for ALL scenarios. I wish I had known what I know now !

I'm sorry.. but just because it happened to you doesn't mean it will happen to everyone. We all do the best we can. What happens, happens.

Some cases go very quickly while others take a lot longer. An acquaintance from work sent their documents to Mississauga about 7 months after my wife and I. It took 8 months start to finish for them and she landed in Canada a week ago, .. while my wife and I still wait.
From what someone on here told me, certain cases are straight forward ... first marriage, no kids, and that sort of thing, while ours where there is a minor dependent and my wife is a widow plus at her age she's live in and visited a lot of places, are more complicated.

All I can suggest is try to remain patient and don't let the pressures get to you. All the best. Hope it goes fast and easy for you.
