Hello!

I need some advice. My husband has been here since April 2016, and we haven't received the card yet. We received a letter saying that his photo wasn't correct, and to send a new one... now I read that if it wasn't sent within 60 days, they would consider the card abandoned. Does this mean we simply apply for a new card (it says if you haven't received the card within 180 days, you need to apply again? I tried calling, but they wouldn't speak with me because i'm not a representative (they've been talking to me throughout the process anyways!)

Any advice would be appreciated.

did your husband send in the new photos?

If so, then he can fill out what's called a "solemn declaration" for the lost card. Just google "solemnd declaration IRCC" and it will most likely come up. this will prompt an investigation on IRCC's end about the lost card and they will direct him as to what he needs to do to get his card.
