Steps to take after 180 days/six months of submitting PR application

Submitted my application on Nov 08, 2016 , its been 170 days since then and i have not received any update except that of Medical Passed, what should i do when my application crosses the 180 days/six months mark ?

Have you phoned CIC and spoke to an agent or maybe ordered your GCMS notes? You do get a lot more information on your application status if you phone CIC directly than only checking your CIC account online.

If you are inside Canada, phone them on 1-888-242-2100. Be prepared to try a couple of times in a 10 minute timespan to be transferred to an agent. The best time is early mornings or just before their closing time.
