Stayed (Staying) in Canada 6Months+ - Is PCC required during PP submission

Hi Quorax / Ankit and All,

I need a advice / info for the following query.

1. I am in Toronto from May 7th 2010.

2. May 29th my full documents were submitted to CHC new Delhi.

3. Got Med request by Nov 1st.

The questions are

1. Do I need to update the Travel History with my latest entry /exit in Canada. I am sure this is needed but please confirm.

2. since its more than 6 months do I need to get PCC locally here in Canada and submit the same along with PP submission. Do I need to wait CHC to ask if they require or I can give it along with PP ?

3. Will there be any substantial delay in returning the passport as CHC might need to verify the updated travel history and if so how long they might require.

You need to update your travel/stay Info for sure
You do not need PCC for Canada as stated in the Instruction Guide.
It may take lot of time after PP submission for verification

I suggest you write to CHC explaining the situation and let them know that you will trave to India for PP submission and can not stay their beyond "X" number of weeks, so they should request for PP at stage when it is possible for them to stamp visa with in "X" no. of weeks

Right now they have already asked for PP submission along with medicals...

so its already in the pp submission stage....so when I submit the pp i will send the updated travel history......right now I am still in Canada and my passport has only entry stamp in the passport and will get exit stamp when i come to India for pp submission....

approximately anyone knows how many days more will take for visa issuance in this case after PP submission...I will be submitting the PP aprroximately by 45th day only...

Also Ankit/qorax /All ..one more quick question...

Since there was mistakes in the names on medical request forms...I have asked my consultant to send it back to CHC for correction....so CHC should be issuing fresh corrected copied ...does the 45 days still hold the old dates on will be considered new from the date when the new Medicals are been send..PLEASE CONFIRM this as accordingly I will have to plan my travel to India for PPT Submission.....

45 days should start from your new medicals. You can request for extension as well for submitting docs, I know CAfor CA got 30 days extension

Again I understand that you are PP submission stage, but I suggest that you sent an e-mail to CHC and inform them that you are in canada and will come to India for PP submission and can not stay for X number of weeks etc and ask them if it will be feasible for you to get the PP back in that X number of weeks

Also I checked with my consultant and good that they have already upadted CHC about my travel here to Canada by submitting my Work Permit Scanned copy and visa stamping page......so its equivalent to Travel History Updates I believe......either case I will submit the updated Travel History form and explain the details in the cover letter......
